  • What services does Sand Key Vacation Rentals provide?

    Sand Key Vacation Rentals does both vacation rentals and property sales in the Port Aransas Area & Coastal Bend Area. So whether you are looking to rent, buy or sell, we are the place to call!

  • How do I make a reservation?

    Our website allows guests to make reservations online. From our homepage or under our “Vacation Rentals” tab, add your desired check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, and children, and all your vacation options will appear! If you prefer, you can also call or email us to make a reservation at hello@sandkeyvacationrentals.com!

  • What deposit is required when making a reservation?

    The deposit is 50% of the total amount due. This deposit can be paid by credit card. The deposit goes toward the total amount owed and you will receive a confirmation with an updated balance.

  • What is SUPERHOG?

    We use SUPERHOG as part of our guest screening process. Your SUPERHOG application must match the primary guest name on the reservation, and your background check must be completed within 48 hours of receiving your booking confirmation as per State and City law. Your booking is NOT confirmed until these requirements have been fulfilled. Once the reservation is confirmed, and prior to check-in, guests must sign a Rental Agreement outlining the terms of the stay, stating that they agree with and acknowledge:

    • To abide by our rental terms and conditions.
    • To provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID and matching credit card prior to check-in.
    • We collect a non-refundable damage waiver of $50, paid via SUPERHOG
    • The waiver will cover you for any accidental damage during your stay
  • When is the remaining balance due?

    The remaining balance of your reservation is due and payable 30 days prior to your arrival. The credit card on file will automatically be charged 30 days prior to your arrival unless you have made other arrangements.

  • What is your cancellation policy on rentals?

    Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to arrival are subject to a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made more than 7 days but less than 30 days prior to arrival would result in loss of the 25% deposit. Cancellation within 7 days or less prior to arrival would result in a loss of the entire stay amount.

  • How old do I need to be to rent a property?

    We only rent to responsible parties 25 years or older, with ID verified at check in. The name on the ID will need to match the name on the credit card making the reservation.

  • Do you allow pets in your properties?

    Some of our properties allow pets. Be sure to look at the property description and note whether or not it allows pets before making a reservation.

  • What is provided in your properties?

    Our properties, like most vacation rentals across the country, operate as self-catering properties. A start-up supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and dish soap is provided, but after that you are responsible for any additional needs. All properties are equipped with basic kitchen needs (pots, pans, silverware, coffee pot, microwave, etc.). Note that food products are not provided for safety reasons. All our properties are supplied with one set of sheets for all beds. Bath towels are supplied per number of people the house sleeps. This is a part of our vacation management services. 

  • Do you provide maid service?

    No, the property will be cleaned prior to your arrival and after you check out, but we do not offer maid or towel service during your stay.

  • What should I bring with me?

    Suggested items to bring are beach towels, extra paper goods (toilet paper, facial tissue and paper towels), extra pillows if you wish to sleep with more than one, coffee filters, spices/seasoning, bathing soap and shampoo, extra dish soap, extra trash bags, sun tan lotion/sun block and beach gear.

  • What other fees are there in addition to the rent?

    Daily rates quoted on our website do not include applicable lodging tax of 13%, admin/damage fee, cleaning fees, or pet fees (if the property allows pets) . Winter monthly rates are not subject to the 13% lodging tax.

  • How many people can stay at my property?

    Each property description clearly states the number of people allowed to stay at a particular property. This number is total occupancy, including children and infants.

  • What is the Non-Refundable Damage Fee?

    Sand Key Realty charges a non-refundable administrative fee or accomodation fee with each reservation in lieu of a security deposit. The amount of this fee varies depending on the size of the property. This will cover minor accidental or unintentional damages (as determined in Sand Key Vacation Rentals’ sole discretion) up to $500 that occur during your stay, provided any damages are disclosed prior to check-out. Damages in excess of $500 will be charged to the Guest’s credit card on file. Damages that are not disclosed to us, stolen items or intentional damage will be charged to the credit card on file. Please note that this does not cover excess cleaning fees, charges for smoking in the property or pet cleanup fees.

  • Can I get a refund if there is bad weather?

    We do not give refunds simply for bad weather. In the event Port Aransas is under direct threat from a hurricane, we would issue refunds.

  • Is free Wifi available at your properties?

    Many but not all of our properties provide free WiFi. Check the listing description of a property to determine if it has WiFi. We make no guarantees as to the speed or quality of the internet connection.

  • Can I park a boat trailer or RV at the property?

    Some properties have space to park a boat trailer, although many do not. Please check before planning to bring a boat trailer. RVs or travel trailers are not allowed at any of our properties.

  • I left something at the property I stayed in, can you send it back to me?

    We will attempt to locate your property and mail it back to you for a $25 fee plus postage.
